I bought a Philips 3mp Ultra-Thin Retro Style digital camera about a week ago. My problem is, I can't get it to work!!!! I bought it because I really liked the style, and with shipping, I paid like $83.00 for it. Maybe the price should have been a question of whether I should have bought it, but i really wanted it. I have been able to take 2 pictures with it, and that is it. Either it does not turn on at all after it has charged -supposed to only take 2 hrs. max to fully charge- or if CAN get it to turn on, it goes to the Philips screen and does nothing else. Also, it will beep and shut off sometimes if I do try to turn it on. Am I doing something wrong, or did I get a bad camera? I appriciate any help anyone can give.
Hi Lisa! Yeppers it sounds like something is wrong with the camera you received. Have you tryed looking in the owners manual yet? Look and try everything in the troubleshooting section of the manual. If the camera is still acting up, try calling the place where you purchaced the camera from. See if they can assist you. If not I really hope they will exchange the camera for you. I wish I could assist you and Elmo more. Good Luck to you and Elmo, and let us know how you made out with this camera.
hey my kodak easy share c330 lens is stuck out, and it won't turn on it wasn't dropped or treated badly either it just doesn't seem to be working charging it doesn't even seem to be working, but when it on the charger i can browse the pics as soon as i lift it off its a black screen. Does anybody have any ideas?'
Thanks in advance
There are tiny circuit protectors almost like really tiny fuses inside this beast that will blow out if the lens get stuck or any sort of mechanical jam. This is not a repair for the user to try and perform, as first of all you most likely do not and will not be able to get a service manual, second, you probably will not be able to get any parts for this bugger. Also if you replace the defective parts it will probably blow them again untill the camera is unjammed or put back into the mechanical off postion. What you should do is go HERE and follow the guidelines there and then see what they want to repair the camera. Good Luck and let us know how you made out with this camera.
