Not unless there is a built in Direct TV reciver. DTV is not like the old cable. You can't hook up the satillite line directly to the TV set, as you need a converter/decoder box, unless like I said there is one built into the TV set. Good Luck

I have a regular direct tv satellite box....I just do not have a high
definition one....I am assuming I can hook up my HD tv to the old box
