Fuji Finepix F700 Digital

The camera is doing/not doing the following:-

Blank screen when focusing for new pictures
Reads the card for exposed pictures
Zoom is operational
Screen shows flat battery even when fully charged

The camera is only 2 years old and used very infrequently.

I would appreciate any suggestions/ideas?
