Music files are cda, not wmp

Accidently installed a program with a cda extension, now Real Player does not recognize them. Need a way to change all *.cda files to something a pc will recognize accross the board. Ideas? Thanks.

What program did you install

What program did you install that would do as you're describing?

Either way, why not just hit a System Restore point. That'll put the computer back the way it was before.

Start --> Accessories --> System Tools --> System Restore. Easy as pie... I'm just hoping you're running XP.

I'm not sure I understand

I'm not sure I understand fully what your problem is based on your brief description. You can't play CD audio files anymore on your computer with any program, even the built-in CD player? That seems pretty odd to me. Can you more fully explain exactly what is happening?

What happens if you just reinstall Real Player?

Good idea, which is what I did. I re-installed the newest version of Real Player, and re-copied the cd's to my bigger hard drive using Real Player. I can now move them to my palm pilot or my Lyra. Thanks.
