Xclipse,

Xclipse,

Check out tvrepairkits.com's hours. You can do the live chat and Ed can probably come up with a kit for you. It was almost too easy and took less than 5 minutes. He sent me a link to look at that had a kit with 7 caps and 2 fuses. I have WD-52525 and already had the TV tore apart and knew I wanted to change out all the 1000uf 16V caps. 4 on power board, 4 on dm board and 4 on another board. He sent me kit with 12 caps and 2 fuses. Turned out all my fuses were OK, but I wish I had seen a swollen 100uf cap on term board 2 when I was ordering.

Larry,

Larry,

I just bought a 65869, which was working when I looked at it in the seller's house. When I got it home, I got the dreaded green blinking light. When I hit the power button I get no response, no video, no audio, nothing. I'm guessing something came loose or broke during the mov

Do you have any ideas about what might have bumped out of place inside the TV?

Anyway, thanks for the service you do for everyone here!

Happy new year!

Take care

Replace the seven capacitors

Replace the seven capacitors in the DM assembly board. Larry D.
The best advice I can tell you is to go to tvrepairkits.com and order the blinking light kit for your model of set, the kit comes with the high temperature/ high frequency/long life 105 Celsius type capacitors (not those cheap Radio Shack caps) full easy to follow pictorial directions, AND free live on-Line tech assistance in case you run into a problem, all kits are shipped out within 24 hours in most cases, 2 to 3 day Priority mail. GOOD LUCK!!!

larry it looks like the last

larry it looks like the last repair that was done the high temp cap were installed. or does the tv come with them. and are they know to go out as well? the blinking light kit comes with a couple of fuses. would that be the problem?

Larry Dillon
yes they do go out, that is

yes they do go out, that is why the kit comes with them you need to test the fuses for continuity with an ohm meter.

Larry Dillon
Yes check the fuses as well

Yes check the fuses as well as the dm power supply

I have the same continuous green blinking light problem. Can you send me the instructions to fix this. I read above that it is a matter of replacing some capacitors. If that is correct I appreciate your help.

Hi Larry,

Hi Larry,

I have a WS-55511. When I try to power it up, the green light comes on for a few seconds, and then the set shuts down. I tried unplugging it for a while, and tried the reset, but no luck. I get the normal flashing green light when I plug it back in. Diagnostics test turned up error code 12 - no error detected. I am willing to take on the repair myself if you could send me your advice and the appropriate documentation.

Thanks!

Larry Dillon
The best advice I can tell

The best advice I can tell you at this point is to go to TV repair kits.com and order the complete convergence kit for your model of TV set, click on here please: http://www.tvrepairkits.com/xcart/home.php?partner=larry
no need to search and order multiple parts from different sources and pay multiple shipping fees! The kit comes with original Sanyo STK ICÂ’S , not those cheap aftermarket or china made ICÂ’S full pictorial directions, the thermal paste, resistors, the correct Pico fuses, AND free live on-Line tech assistance in case you run into a problem with the repair. They ship out 2 to 3 day Priority mail, the next day in most cases,

Just curious...after reading

Just curious...after reading the other posts I was expecting that you would send me the instructions for the capacitor replacement. Why do you think my set needs the convergence kit? Would I be getting a different error code if it were a capacitor problem? Thanks again for your help.

Larry Dillon
because if your set needed

because if your set needed the caps it would not even attempt to come on and the green light would continuously blink.

Larry,

Larry,

I have not pulled the trigger on the convergence kit yet, but I am close. One new piece of information: I stated earlier that I get Error Code 12, but that is only after first plugging the set in. After I try to power it up and it shuts itself down, then I get Error Code 22. Is that behavior consistent with the convergence problem? Thanks again!

Larry Dillon
yes it is as long as you are

yes it is as long as you are posting under the right model number and this set IS NOT THE DLP TYPE SET!!!! Good luck

Larry,

Larry,
I have a WS-55111 that a friend had given me because the green convergence was not working properly. The screen looked like it was melting. I was just about to replace it when I turned on the set and it seemed to work properly, for a minute, then it shut itself off. I went ahead and replaced the Sanyo made IC because I knew it was bad hoping that also the tv would come back to life. Alas it didnt.
Now when I turn it on the green light comes on for about 3 seconds and then goes off with an audible click.
I did look at the capacitors the the DM ( large Silver box the the left of the A/V connections) they do not look swollen like what some users have reported.
Is the blinking light kit listed here http://www.tvrepairkits.com/xcart/home.php?cat=2664 what I need?
Please help shed some light on what I have to do to fix this issue.
Thanks in advance

Larry Dillon
did you o0rder a complete

did you o0rder a complete convergence kit with the heat sink compound or did you just order the stk ic's from a different source?? this is a very important step? if you did not you most likely replaced the chips with non original chips but if the answer is that you just replaced the chips with the most inexpensive cxhips you could find, You need to use original replacement chips and these ill cost a lot more than the knockoff type chips but if you wish to get a complete kit to repair this problem properly??? go toThe best advice I can tell you at this point is to go to TV repair kits.com and order the complete convergence kit for your model of TV set, click on here please: http://www.tvrepairkits.com/xcart/home.php?partner=larry
