help! jvc GZ-MG27 wont burn dvd to CU-VD10 share station

please help !!!

I have a JVC GZ-MG27 20gig digital camcorder. With it I purchased the JVC CU-VD10 share station. It is a direct to dvd burner. The directions say to turn the power off on both items connect them both with thier power supplies, then the usb cable from the dvd burner to the camera. turn them on, select the video to burn. the screen says insert disc. after doing that the screen says recognizing disc. then says incompatible disc. JVC tech support says to make sure I am using dvd-r disc's. I have tried sony and the jvc disc that came with the burner. still no luck. I bought a second dvd share station and it does the exact same thing.

I am currently having the same problem.  I used it succesfully twice with 2 separate brand of discs, now the entire batch of memorex discs I bought are giving that message.  Anyone have some ideas.

Yeah this JVC CU-VD10 is the biggest piece of crap I've ever seen. I havnt burnt one DVD from my JVC camera that I bought at the same time. I keep getting incompatible disc..have tried the JVC disk and the recommended TDK disks. Is JVC going to do anything about this ? How can they ship this product and it dosnt even work. I will never buy a JVC again.

I am having the exact same problem. I have actually been able to burn disks using the CU-VD10 in the past, but it only recently started giving me the incompatible disk message while using dvd-rw discs. It will, however, recognize dvd-r disks, but it will not format them anymore to burn video to. I have not yet found a solution. You?

No solution found on my end

No solution found on my end yet, but I am curious about how you connected the camcorder to your laptop & burned the dvd from there. When the camcorder is full, I download all the video to my p.c., but it comes in chunks, and doesn't appear to be in any particular order. I'd burn the dvd's using another software, but don't really want to spend the time figuring out the order. Is there an easier way?
