Well I tried taking out the board again and put it in without the case just to make sure that it was properly connected. But that didnt help. The capacitors that I had taken it were bubbled at the top, which means they were bad.. So I put new ones in.... and now it still doesnt work. Any ideas on what it might be? When I push the reset button there comes a tick in the back middle of the tv. That doesnt go on until I push the reset button...

Please help. I am trying so hard to try to repair this. I cant afford to go out and get another tv... please

Micmouse10,

Micmouse10,

Try using caps with Breakdown voltage of 25V or 35V. When I used recommended 16V, it didn't work either. Keep at it, I ended up replacing caps 3 times before getting it right. Go slow and be careful. Good Luck.

Hi Larry,

Hi Larry,
I have the famous green blinking light. Mitsubishi ws-55513. We were watching tv fine. Bought a new one and moved tv into another room to sell. I went to turn it on and it just keeps blinking and won't turn on. I have had someone that he replaced one of the fuses on his dm board and it worked. My problem is how to get the dm board out?? What needs to be removed to get it out? We took off the part next to it that has all the component plugs, took the plastic bracket off the top, and the screws at the back and middle. It won't come off, there is something at the other end inside the metal case that is keeping it from coming off. There is not enough clearance above to lift it out.

Does the instructions you send out have this information and also how to test the capacitors and fuses to determine if they are bad. Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi Micmouse10,

I have read a ton of posts on this problem as I am currently trying to fix it my self.  There was a guy in CA that was told to replace those capacitors.  He did it and his didn't work either.  He then tested the fuses on the board and found out that one of them were bad.  He just piggybacked the new one on top of the old one because he didn't know how to get that one out.  Put dm module back in and his tv worked.  If you look to the right inside on the tv you will see a white label with some information on it.  Read it and at the bottom they give you the fuse #'s and tell you there on the dm board.  He said he picked them up at an electrical supply company for a few dollars.  He tested them with a multimeter and you are looking for continuity.

My problem is I don't know how to get the dm module out.  So if you have info on that that would be great.  Let me know if you try testing fuses and if that is your problem.

Thanks

We are having the same blinking light problem with our mitsubishi ws 55513. About a month ago I tried turning on the tv but the light was blinking & it wouldn't turn on. Then an hour later it was working fine. Unfortunately, today I went to turn it on & the light was blinking again but this time it won't stop. Could you please help me?

About 6 months ago replaced the 4 caps and has been working great ever since. Now it has power, but picture and sound go out, TV still works you can go to menu and anywhere else, you just loose reception on TV and DVD turn TV off then turn it back on, it comes on by itself for 5-60 seconds
The whole time the green light stays on and TV operating just no sound and picture any idea?

Hi Larry-

Hi Larry-

I have just bought a used Mitsubishi WS-55513 set, believe it or not the set is working ok and I only paid $50 for it! I have not had any problems yet, however the gentleman I bought it from says that occasionally the set will turn itself off. After reading this thread I am wondering, just in case I end up having the same problems down the road as others have posted here, if you could go ahead and shoot me the fix for the set losing power (just in case!) My email address is: [email protected]

Also, what would cause lightly faded vertical strips on either side of the set? (Pic still looks very good but they are noticeable.)

Thanks!

Larry,

Larry,
I have the same blinking green light problem. The first time it happened, I tried the reset button to no avail. We unplugged it for several days and then plugged back in to see if it would work and it did. However, we are now back to the blinking green light. Could you please send me the repair instructions. I greatly appreciate your help.

Thanks, Donna
