I just got a new surround sound system and it echoes when I watch the tv.It works for the music and games...

Check your recevier settings and make sure you're not using one of the DSP modes like "Concert", "Hall", etc. When watching TV, you want to be using Dolby Pro Logic, Pro Logic II Cinema, or DTS: Neo 6 Cinema.
