help with car audio

I have a 98 ford ranger. I have replaced the stock cd player with pioneer, the 2 back speakers with pioneer, and the 2 door speakers with pioneer. My problem is that the door speakers were blown and I had the music faded all the back. I just bought the 2 new pioneers for my door to replace the blown stock. When i faded the sound equil through out my truck I noticed the rear speakers are no longer playing and I can not get any sound out of them at all now. Even when i fade the sound to the rear, I only get sound out of my subwoofer and not the 6X8's. They had both played before because I had the sound faded to them before I bought the new speakers for my front. Can anyone help tell me what I did that made the rear speakers stop? Maybe they are blown too but they are almost brand new also..

Wow, this may be tricky. You

Wow, this may be tricky. You are going to have to check all of your wiring between your head unit and the rear speakers. My guess is that you will find something. Replacing your fronts should not have effected the rear speakers. I know that with some pioneer head units if you set the preamp outputs to subwoofer they will only send the rear speakes bass. Is this happening and you just can't hear them over the subs? If so just set the preamps to rear instead of sub in your menu. You will have to use a crossover on your amp if this is the case. Most amps have one If it has a switch that says LP FR HP set it to LP(Low Frequency sounds). hope this helps

I took the back speakers out

I took the back speakers out and cut into my stereo in my room and hooked them up and they still play so they are deff not blown. I have had my cd player in the dash for years and the front and back 6X8's both played. the only thing i have done lately is replace the stock door speakers that were blown. I had cut off the harness and used the wires that came with the speakers and wired right to the wires that was connected to the stock speakers. No wire is touching the door or metal or anything just the speaker. I had not taking my cd player out of the dash to install these new door speakers. I simply took the old ones out and hooked up the new ones. I turn on my cd player and drive around the block and noticed no sound from the back 6X8's Why all of a sudden did they stop playing im confused. LOL Do you think I should remove my CD player. This really blows because I fix one problem and now this comes up.
