Hi,
I have a JVC DV camcorder, model GR-DX67EK. It's been working fine for ages, but now it seems that whenever I try to record something it only takes a snapshot on the tape then stops again.
I've tried replacing tapes, batteries all sorts, but it seems the internal software has got screwed somehow.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this fixed? Or reasons as to how it may have gone in the first place?
Any help will be gratefully received?
Thanks,
Mosser212
First a couple of questions:
1) Can you play back an old tape OK?
2) Is the tape actually moving during the record process or is it stuck in a pause-like condition?
Dan
Hi Dan,
Thanks for your response! In answer to your questions:
1) yes old tapes play fine
2) yes the tape moves you actually see the photo being taken then it fade out, and even hear sound in the background when it displays, but once that process has finished it stops recording.
To me this is definitely software based as opposed to mechanical in nature. Does this give you any clues as to what is going on?
Thanks,
