Larry,

Larry,

I have a problem with my Mitsubishi wd-62725.  it is about 3-4 years old and the timer light (green) keeps blinking.  I have tried to reset the TV but it did not work.  Can you help?

You can e-mail back to me at [email protected]

Thank You!!!

Robert and SCfan, If you

Robert and SCfan, If you would like to attempt to repair your TV set, I will send you the instructions on how to do so.  If you do not know how to solder well, do not attempt to replace the capacitors yourself. Pay a pro to do this for you. After all you are already saving a bundle of cash. If the capacitors inside the board are not swollen on the tops, as the direction shows you what they look like, the capacitors are most likely not your problem. But the best test is to replace them.  I have a few different documents for different sets. Go through them and use the one you need. Good Luck

I am almost positive I have the module out but I seem to have the real small silver caps in mine. Am i posibly looking in the wrong place. I have several pictures that i took I can forward them to you for review if you'd like. I appreciate your time. [email protected]

I have sent the information

I have sent the information you asked for. I have also sent along the factory service manual so if this helps you fix your TV set, you can see how the screen comes out so you may clean the lens and the mirrors inside the TV set. If you have no soldering experience, after you get the DM board out, take it to a pro and have them repair it for you. Good Luck

Larry Dillon said: If you are handy, and can solder, you may be able to save about 700 bucks if not more. There is a very common problem with these Mitsubishi TV sets. There is a digital board inside these puppies called the DM board. A lot of times there are four capacitors that go bad inside of these TV sets. Sometimes, depending on how bad the capacitors are, and if the capacitors did not blow out anything else on the Dm board, you can simply replace these four capacitors and this will fix your TV set. The average that this works on is about 65 to 70 % of the sets can be repaired with this fix. The others are power supply issues or the DM board has other issues. If you would like to attempt to repair your TV set, I will send you the instructions on how to do so.  If you do not know how to solder well, do not attempt to replace the capacitors yourself. Pay a pro to do this for you. After all you are already saving a bundle of cash. Leave an e-mail address, and I will forward you the fix with and without the light engine. And if the capacitors inside the board are not swollen on the tops, as the direction shows you what they look like, the capacitors are most likely not your problem.

Hi Larry,

I was looking for a solution to this problem on my big screen and had previously seen an article where someone said to look for puffed-up capacitors in the DM module, but mine look shiny and flat. Do you think they could be bad anyway? If you do, would you mind sending me the information that you have for this fix. Thank you very much, Larry Deickman ([email protected])

Larry, It could be the problem, as I have changed capacitors before that were not swollen on the tops and it fixed the problem. You could also have a problem in the main power supply. You will need to change the capacitors and see. If replacing the capacitors does not fix your problem, check the voltages going into the DM board. I will however send you  what I have on this set. Good Luck

Larry, you are one popular

Larry, you are one popular dude.  I can only conclude that this is one common honking problem.  I, too, have a Mitsubishi doing the dreaded green light thing.  If you could send me a copy of the service manual, it would be much appreciated.  Thanks in advance for your time, as I REALLY don't want have to buy a new TV or spend thousands on the current one

scag, if you hear the HV cut

scag, if you hear the HV cut in, your problem is not the DM repair. You have a problem in the main power supply or possibly the sweep power supply. Look around on the boards for capacitors that look like the tops are swollen, or they may have a black goo coming out of the bottom of them. If you cannot see anything obvious, I'm afraid it will most likely be a repair for the service center. Good Luck

Larry did you ever get my email regarding where to locate the caps on my WS-65315. For some reason my TV looks a bit different from the files I received. Any help locating these caps would greatly be appreciated. I don't know if you remember but I sent you pictures of my tv aswell.

Hey Larry You sent me those documents 2 pages back..

Before i got your documents The tv had stopped blinking  and turned on.. Still the picture is distorted for about 6 seconds  But then it comes in just fine and works just great! But sometimes  you go turn it on again and it just says UGH uGH  and she does it again blinks for a day or so ..I think  It helps If I turn my bass on in the house it must shake the tv and it stops blinkng sometimes to work well It crashed 2 days ago and still blinking.. I was figuring it was on its last leg when it would turn on and be fuzzy for 6 seconds or so..

What do you think I have the tv unplugged ready to open her up just downloaded pando..Thanks Larry!!

Larry: It appears you are the

Larry: It appears you are the savior of many! I have the same problem with the dreaded blinking green light on the Mitsubishi 65513. Would it be possible to get the manual and instructions as well?  Also, I wonder if the warm temps of Arizona worsen the situation with the regular capacitors? I will definitely look to replace with higher tolerance parts if it indeed turns out to be the capacitors. I went through the same steps as all those before me with the attempts to reset, plug/unplug, even try the main breakers outside! Still the dreaded blink! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Larry

Hi Larry

Guess what? blinking green light on my 65513.  I to am relieved that it can be fixed.  Please send me the service manuel and photos that corresponed to my problem.  This happened to me after we moved from one house to another.  (about 500 miles, plugged it in when we got here and wouldn't power on.)  If I leave it blinking after about a day or so it will turn on, but I don't dare shut it off, for to long or it won't power on again.

My email is :   [email protected]

Thanks again

Mr. Dillon: I have browsed

Mr. Dillon: I have browsed this thread with great interest. I am experiencing the identical "blinking green light" problem with my Mitsubishi WS-73713. I would be very grateful if you could e-mail the repair instructions to me at [email protected]. This might actually save me $6,000, since I just ordered a new TV, but will cancel the order if this works. Thank you.

Wow, this is really becoming popular. We need to start a thread strictly for the Mitsubishi TV sets and transfer all of these into it. Yes King I will send you this information you are requesting, but I may not have the service manual for you. If I do, I will send that along with the other documents as well. Good Luck

It started off by powering the tv off and then after a minute or two I could power it back on but now all I get is the green power light and that is it. Any ideas of what I should try? I have been looking for an online repair guide that may help out but no success. I would appreciate any help. If someone could forward me the repair guide I would appreciate it. [email protected] does anyone have the model #'s of the caps that they have used.

Larry, I came across this forum and I have the WS-65315 problem too. It would be much appreciated if you sent me the service manual and instructions on the capacitor replacement. Thanks
