I have a sony trv11 camcorder and a hot new panasonic gs400. On a limited number of my edited tapes when I try to download to my computer(on Premiere or Moviemaker or Nerovision)in order to eventually convert to dvd, my panasonic downloads only the video not the audio. But my sony downloads both audio and video. I am thoroughly confused. I want my new panasonic to be able to handle these tapes. Strangely both cameras run the audio and video on their own microphones and lcd screens. What is going on?
Your camcorder should have came with a USB connection kit which included a cable and a CD-Rom. You'll need to install the Video Stream driver that's included on the disc, as well as the MotionDV Studio software package. Once complete, try transferring the video with the MotionDV software, which should transfer both video and sound.
