Battlefield 2

If you like multiplayer war games for the PC, Battlefield 2 (BF2) is probably going to be a member of your collection soon. It is a sequal to Battlefield 1942, which was an on-line multiplayer World War 2 game (still one of my favorite games).

Electronic Arts (EA) has taken multiplay to a whole new level in this game. For example, you can have squads so you can kill people with your freinds.

Also, you can be the commander of your army, which allows you to call artillery strikes, supply drops, UAV (still don't know what it stands for), and scans (which tell you where the enemies are on the map).

There are several different classes of soldiers you can be, which are typically referred to as "kits". These include: special forces (which get C4 :D ), snipers, assault, support (they give out extra ammo), engineers (to repair vehicles), medic, and anti-tank.

All of these "kits" have their own special weapons, depending on the army you're in, and there are three armies: USMC (United States Marine Corps),
MEC (Middle Eastern Coalition), and the Chinese military.

The demo includes a medium size map, and can be downloaded at here. You're going to need to register, but it's free.

Battlefield 2 is currently selling at $50.

For more info, visit the official Battlefield 2 website.

Overall, I would give the game a 9.75.
