If you hit the power switch, does the set attempt to comne on? Maybe there is a plug you forgot to plug back in? Were the capacitors bad that you replaced? Did you put in the capacitor on the board with the proper polarity?
Hello! We have a WS-65713 and it's having the same blinking green light problem :-(It was working fine last night. My husband said he didn't even turn on the TV all morning. But when he tried to turn it on this afternoon, nothing happens and the light just keeps blinking as if mocking us! I've been reading this thread and it sounds like an easy fix. If someone can tell us what exactly to buy and send me a very good set of instructions, I will definitely try to fix this...please email: email@example.com
When I push the power button, I hear the picture tube click on then the green light comes on for about 3-4 seconds then it shuts off. I made sure the caps were in the right polarity and I don't think they were bad when I put them in. Also, I'm pretty sure all the plug-ins are plugged in and I couldn't get the service manual to open. It tries to come on then shuts off as if some protection circuit is being tripped. I did accidentally desolder and remove the black cap next to the caps but I put it back in according to the picture I saw on the forum, hhhmmm don't know what happened...
I did a continuity test on the fuses and they all show good.
I'm not sure about this one sonic, I will have to ponder over this one a bit.
Maria, I sent the info you requested. Good Luck.
I read somewhere the black caps next to the 1000uf caps could go bad???the ones labelled 2R7?? You heard of this??

Will I receive it today? If so, haven't gotten it yet...was hoping to stop by Radio Shack on my way home from work to pick up whatever parts I need...
Yes Maria, I tried to send to a fewearlier today but for some reason it all came back to me. I will try it again. E-me if you have any troubles or questions . Good Luck

Larry - Guess you are the man when it comes to fixing this blinking light problem. We have a ws 55513. As you hear the story everyday, nothing is working. Guess we need to use your directions. Can you email them over? Thanks!
Could you send me the instructions for the WS-65813? It sounds like you may have the solution I've been looking for!
The info you are looking for should be there shortly. Good Luck
Larry, any suggestions about my issue? Fixed the dm module but TV turns on, i hear the click of the tubes stays on for 3-4 sec then shuts off. All connectors are connected and I did continuity tests on fuses and they show good. What about the litle black caps labeled 2R7? do they go bad as well?? Thanks
I have never replaced those Capacitors. You will need to check the start up voltage in the main power supply.
I have the Mits 73713 and it has worked fine for three years. last night it worked fine and this morning when we turned it on the blinking green light problem appeared. Will you please send the fix to firstname.lastname@example.org
Thnaks so much for the help.
Hey Larry, I received the docs. Thanks again. I called and my TV is still under warranty through Tweeter. Is there anything secret about the docs? I was going to print them out and buy the parts from Frys in case they did not know how to fix the TV. Thanks, Tim

Julio, they are on their way. Good Luck with this repair!
Larry, I also have the same problem on a WS-65511. Could I also get a copy of the repair instructions on how to fix the blinking light.
Rain I deleted your double entry and will be sending out the documents to repair your TV set soon.
Thank you again for sending the manuals . My local Radio Shack doesn't have the capacitors so I have to order them online.
If you have to order them, make sure you get the 105C type. These are the hi-temp. caps. NOT the 85C type.
Ordered the recommended caps from DigiKey. Replaced all the caps. TV works great once again. Wanted to say thank you very much!
I wasn't sure it would work since the caps looked fine, no "bulging" on the tops. But had read you? had replaced them when they looked fine and sometimes it worked.

I guess I'll join the choir and ask for an email with the service instructions.
