Hi Larry - We have a ws-65711 - we had a power surge or interruption for a millisecond - The TV was off and when I turned it on it indicated a power loss. Ater turning the set off and then on again, the green light lit and then went off after 3-5 seconds. It does not keep blinking. Tried resetting and disconnecting the power over night. Are the capacitors on the DM board the likely culprit? If you think they are, please send the file on how to repair. Hoping to eek out a couple of more years now that I've hooked up a hdmi to componet adapter which works great. Thanks, soccerfranc
I have a wd-y577 with the flashing timer light. After 60 seconds something clicks and I can hit the power button but the light still blinks. The bulb glows and the color wheel spins, and there's a faint light on the screen, but its barely noticeable. If I hit reset, the screen flicker a very faint light and does it all over again.
This unit uses the V37L chassis, and tvrepairworld doesn't even offer kits for this one.
Could this still be the caps on one of the boards?
I replaced the bulb, but no difference. There's also no sound.
Mitsubishi Model WS-65711 would not shut off so we unplugged it. Now it will not turn back on. We get green flashing light for 60 seconds and then still unable to power back on. Any suggestions? thanks,
Larry,
I have a WD-65733 with the blinking green timer light and won't turn on. Could you please email those procedures and pics to me as well? Thanks!
I found the pictures on the internet. You have to get into the metal box that is closest to the left wall of teh tv and you will see the 7 fuses on a card. I am not sure where I found them but this seems to be a common problem with these tvs. I ordered 7 fuses off amazon took the whole tv apart and soddered the fuses to the card and low and behold the tv worked again. I have never done anything like this before so I was very proud of my self.I ordered the Rubycon 1000uF 35V Thru-Hole Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor Low Impedance 20% (Bag of 10) but I could have ordered the 25 v instead. If I had to do it over again I would order the 25 v because the 35v were too big to get a good fit but they worked and the tv has been running fine for 3 months. My tv went out on a power surge and the green blinking light was on the power button.
I have a WS65711 with a blinking green light too, I would appreciate if you could send me the document to [email protected]. Is there a way to degauss these models?
I also have the green light problem Model WS65711. A couple of days ago our TV went up full blast and we could not get it to turn down unless we got up and used the Volume down button in front of the TV, as soon as we released the button it went right back up. Unpluged TV and now that we have turned it back on we have the green light and TV will not work HELP
My will turn on but no picture. I tried unplugging it several times and waiting but still nothing. The green light will blink 6 times and they say its a lamp issue. But also to the right of the lamp is a spark that when the tv is turned on it will spark a few times and stop and will do this about three times then the tv shuts off. Any clue?

Click the link below and find the repair kit for your model tv. It will have instructions as to what to do.

But also to the right of the lamp is a spark that when the tv is turned on it will spark a few times and stop and will do this about three times then the tv shuts off. Any clue?
That spark is the ballast trying to fire the lamp. If you are getting spark then you need to replace the lamp.
Larry, I would also appreciate any help with my 'blinking green light'. I have a Mitsubishi WS-65711. [email protected]
