I have the same tv, the Mitsubishi HD1080 series rear projection tv 42" and i got it for free at a garauge sale and it had the double vision also. I was able to converge the lines together and now it looks good, but when i leave it on the black screen you can see the green lines like you would see on the convergance menue. and you can see it when you are watching tv. you can see the lines when the movie or episode is dark, but when it is bright and light colors you cant see the green lines. lol do i have to convere the green lines? on my convergance menue it only lets me converge the red and blue. or am i able to do the green too? i hope somone can help me out
I read this to see if I might be able to fix my TV which has the same issues, but I don't know how to solder so I'd have to have it fixed. My wife just wants me to get a new TV so at this point I'm going to get rid of this one. Does anyone live in the Orange County area of California who wants to buy my TV off of me for $50?
i have a Mitsubishi hd 1080 television i am able to get the red and blue to line up prefectly but the green is bent like a u at the top and bottom. the center of the sscreen is fine everything lines up
I was wondering if I could get some help I have ws 65807 I first replaced the stk chips on the board checked all 3.9 resistors checked the 150 resistors and I am getting a green shadows and green cross OS off to the right a I found a nother board that works in different tv tried it and again green shadow? How do I fix this please help thanks Chris
Evil hey thanks for responding I tried to upload a picture but its not letting me if u have an email ill send u a picture but basically I already replaced the stk chips and checked the convergence resistors and don't know y but the green cross hair is not correct its off to the right I also tried to replace the board which the stk chips are on and that did fix it what can I do
You replaced the convergence chips and resistors and the green was still off so you swapped the convergence board with a known working one and it corrected the problem? Sounds like you may have missed a resistor or bridged a pin on the ic to another one, how does your soldering look?
my mitsubishi hd 1080 series tv model ws-55313 picture started going out then coming back on a couple times then just went out completely retrieved code 12 from it which i guess means it didnt see a problem what is the most common problem"
I was given a Mitsubishi HD1080 recently, model VS-A50,(August 2002). It comes on and looks good for 5-10 minutes, then the screen starts to collapse from top and bottom, looks like its tired and wants to go to sleep! Haha. Slow winking so to speak. Then screen goes black, still have audio for a few seconds, then it turns itself off. I've worked on ic's on cnc machinery, welders and stereo equipment but never on a tv. Could use a little guidance please. Thanks much, John
it double posted on me so ignor this post and help me out with my post under this one lol
