Pioneer HTV-SW1 sub Can it be used with another

I at one time had a complete Pioneer system, the main unit/controller was damaged in a move, the Sub HTV-SW1 is ok, my question is the sub usuable if it were added to a nother surround system, if so does anyone have any idea as to the inputs? The two connections on the rear (of the sub) are not common connectors, thanks to anyone for your help.

Hi, I have the Pioneer HTV

Hi, I have the Pioneer HTV SW2 and the HTV-C2 center but neither of the two special Pioneer connecting cables. Does anyone have one or an idea how to make one. One looks like a pioneer car audio cable and the other like a pin audio cable or PS2 mouse plug but it isn't. Pioneer doesn't stock them and has no information on this system!

I have the HTV-C1 controller and nothing else. I would sell it (make offer) or purchase the missing items to complete the system. Send details of what you have & price. Shipping is probably the killer, I live in Texas.

Juan, or anyone. Is it possible for you to take the square cable to a car stereo shop and find out what exactly that plug is and if it can be purchased anywhere? I am having ZERO luck with it. It looks like a head unit plug but bigger.

Thanks Cavman

I recently bought a htv sw1

I recently bought a htv sw1 at a flee market but did not get the htv c2 control console. I am hoping to modify the sw1 to use as a stand alone subwoofer. Has anyone done this before and have any advise? I found a schematic on-line and it infers that the sw1 can be put in a test mode which allows it to work without the c2. It says you need a 26VAC transformer, but I'm not sure about the audio inputs. Any help out there?

RPW here is a link for the service manual for the unit so you can wire it to what ever you want. http://www.kallhovde.com/pioneer/tricomp/Audio/Misc/HTV-C1_SW1_RRV2060.pdf To whom else it concerns...I have the htv-sw1 sub unit and both cables. If you want any of it email me and we can talk. I'm located near Cleveland Ohio so if postage is neccessary this would probably be done through paypal.

I needed the square connector

I needed the square connector for the Pioneer HTS-SW1 square eight pin connector. Since there are none in Pioneer's available production parts and none in after market, in early 2013 I went to a local electronics store (Fry's) and purchased two CITYNET International CC-8PMF-US 8-PIN (EPS12V) POWER EXTENSION CABLE(s) (UNDER $5.00 each). These are only available as a male to female connector. Since what was needed was cabling with male to male ends, I cut off the female leads from each of the new cables and spliced the leads of the male leads to form now a male to male connector. To enable a connection over two feet you can purchase additional female to male connectors (I've only found these in 12" lenths) and add them, as many as you need, to connect the components. There is no need to alter the lengthening cables.

I needed the square connector for the Pioneer HTS-SW1 square eight pin connector. Since there are none in Pioneer's available production parts and none in after market, in early 2013 I went to a local electronics store (Fry's) and purchased two (Molex style) CITYNET International CC-8PMF-US 8-PIN (EPS12V) POWER EXTENSION CABLE(s) (UNDER $5.00 each). These are only available as a male to female connector. Since what was needed was cabling with male to male ends, I cut off the female leads from each of the new cables then color spliced each (8) individual lead, using electrical tape then and bound them all together with electrical tape. If need be one might want to stagger the splices so that a more uniform cable size is attained to allow easier passage of cabling through cable ports)
