My saga continues with my WD52725.  You sent me the repair info for the DM board. I replaced the caps twice to no avail. Checked the fuses and all were good. I sent the DM and power supply board to PTS Corp for repairs. The were able to rebuild the power supply board but now have told me that after having my board for more than three weeks they can not fix the DM board. They said that they can not get some software from Mitsubishi. Any ideas on where I can get the DM board repaired?

Larry Dillon
Red baron, if the tech

Red baron, if the tech replaced the capacitors, your DM is probably bad. Sorry.

Well Larry can you go ahead and send them anyway, I would like to have them if that iks possible, also do you think it could be caps on the PSU or any other board that the tech didnt check ? Also how do i go about getting a new DM board for my 52525, I thought some1 mentioned Sears had them for like 70 bucks, Is this the case?

If you don't mind, could you please send me the 52525 guide? I removed most of the screws on the back but I can't seem to get the board removed. I must be overlooking a few hiding screws! I'd prefer not to break anything in the process. Thanks - [email protected]  =)

Bulldoggie andRickyD, I have sent out the service info you requested. This model though has a 50% chance only, that this will fix your TV set as it depends how long you were putting up with any intermittant problems. Good luck with your repairs

HiHi
I am having the same blinking

I am having the same blinking green light problem on my WD-52525 HD. The green blinking light seems to come on for a while, and then stops, at that point I can turn on the TV and it works fine. The blinking light some time goes on for few minutes, but sometimes it goes on for a lot longer. Some time the TV display a message while I’m watching, that it will shut down in few moments. Are those two problems related? I always thought those issues are related to the heat build up inside the TV set. I know there is a cooling fan at the back, but I don't see it to come frequently, or when the green light is blinking. I’m concerned about calling the service man, he may do unnecessary repair just to build up the bill. Please Help. Could you please send me all relevant information, repair instructions, manuals, etc. I'm not an electronics guy, is there a simple solutions to these issues? Thanks

Replaced the caps. TV fired

Replaced the caps. TV fired right up. However it appears I am not able to select all of the inputs. I only get cable card, DVD, and the memory card reader options. Any suggestions? I don't see hdmi, or the the other inputs listed. What did I miss?

Ok I figured out the issue.

Ok I figured out the issue. It appears there is a setting in the menu that blocks the un-used profiled inputs. I had it clear any of the previous settings and they all came back. TV works great!

The unfortunate thing is I took the entire tv apart "again" prior to finding this menu option. All the way down to the boards to ensure all of the ribbon cables were in as far as they needed to be. Along with all the connectors. Oh well, at least this time it didn't take very long. I'm pretty sure now I can do it with my eyes closed. =)

Well, I also have a Mits WD

Well, I also have a Mits WD-52725 that last week went into perpetual blinking timer light mode like most of the folks here.   I can solder, so if it's just fixing some capacitors, I would not mind looking at the service manual.  You can email it to userid "tlore" of domain mail.4brad.com.

Though these days my investigations of ebay/craigslist suggest these 720p DLPs are only worth about $600, so any authorized mitsubishi repair seems a waste of time.

BTW, my multimeter has a

BTW, my multimeter has a capacitance mode, so I could try to measure the caps to see if they are still in range.  Don't know if I can measure them on the board, but presumably can do that after I pull them to let me know if they are the likely problem or if I need to send for another DM board.  I presume you also have some notes about what to check about the power supply.

I noted that when I played around a bit, if I removed the cover from the lamp, I would get the lamp warning light rather than the blinking green timer light, and a different warning if I still had the filter cover off, so some things (fairly basic ones admittedly) are still working which makes me presume the main PS is doing something right, or are these warnings so basic as to tell me nothing?

Doing the hard reset does "reset" (in that it clicks and restarts but still flashes green.)

sorry, thought that was a fairly typical way of doing an email in a non-harvestable way.  You can use bradtem at gmail.com if the other address does not make sense to you.

I do have the v26 service manual.  Getting out the DM board sure seems like a great deal of work.  It doesn't detail the power supply etc. though.
