luigino, have the caps

luigino, have the caps changed inside the DM anyway man, this is the first symptom of them going bad. I have seen it a dozen times to act like this. I have worked on many many of these TV sets and I do know them as I was a factory tech at one time. Oh maybe that's how I know about this fix? If they blow you off, the set will for sure go out down the road and then if you cannot do the repair yourself, it will cost U a min. of 800 to 1000 bucks. Insist they replace the caps in the DM or the DM itself!

Larry,

Larry,

The cap replacement fixed tthe blinking light problem! But I still have another problem....The convergance is now an issue, I can adjust the blue but when I try to adjust the red it will not move. Did I miss a cable when I was re connecting after repair?

Jeff T.

Larry Dillon
Jeff, thats great you have

Jeff, thats great you have the set on now. The convergence could of course be a problem with a plug coming out a little bit and not sitting squarely on the plug. Double check all of the plugs and do not just look at them, go in with the set off and make sure they are pushed down onto the printed circuit board all the way. If you need more assistance with this repair, please let me know. It will not be as easy as the DM repair but will still save you a ton of cash. Good Luck

Larry, as per your suggestion I called the warranty repair company armed with the information you furnished me.  When  I told the tech the exact problem, he knew exactly what I was talking about.  He said they repair this exact problem that is inherent in Mitsu HD older models 20 to 25 calls a week.  They will come prepared with the caps for the DM board and insured me a same day fix.   Heads up to all that are still covered under warranty. Call  your warrant people on the first sign of  cap failure   !!!!  It's NOT just you.  L

I have the Mitsubishis WS

I have the Mitsubishis WS-65711 model tv and it just went out on me.  I turn on the tv and the power light comes on for about 5 seconds then goes off.  I don't get the blinking light that most people are talking about.  I tried to power off the tv and unplugged it over night and it still won't come on.  I've had this tv for about 2 years (purchased new).  Any help would be appreciated on where to start trouble shooting before I call in a professional repair person.

Thanks in advance.

Hi. I have a WD-73733. I

Hi. I have a WD-73733. I had the TV for 2 weeks from Amazon.com and I got the blinking light. I called Amazon and they replaced it. I got the new one today. I was setting it up and power failure (UPS couldn't handle every component in my rack on) and I have the green blinking light of death. Again. I have unplugged it and am leaving it unplugged, hoping this will help.

Does anyone actually have success with leaving it unplugged for an hour or so? Or leaving it plugged and blinking? I'm willing to take apart the DM board and fix it but am I going to need to fix this at every power outage? Or when my system shuts down to "save" my equipment from a power surge?

I do live in Florida...

Thanks,
Quiddity319
