Blockbuster to push Blu-ray HD DVD format

After reading this Article about the Blu-ray problems, this news announcement came as kinda a surprise.
It appears Blockbuster will rent high-definition DVDs only in the Blu-ray format in 1,450 stores when it expands its high-def offerings next month

This could be a major blow to the rival HD DVD format and it could help to resolvethe format war that has kept confused consumers from rushing to buy new DVD players.

Most folks are waiting until they can determine which format will dominate the market.

Blockbuster has been renting both Blu-ray and HD DVD titles in 250 stores since late last year and found that consumers were choosing Blu-ray titles more than 70 percent of the time.

With this new technology, users will realize a 2x to 4x increase in sensitivity (from one to two photographic stops), which will improve performance when taking pictures under low light and reduce motion blur when imaging moving subjects.

Coffee Table Computer

There is a fundamental change occurring in the world of technology!
This video from Popular Mechanics shows a new type of computer. They say it could be available to the public soon as next year.

The idea is not that new, they have been working on this for a few years now. But it's getting closer and closer to becoming reality.

You will note that no key board is shown, but I am sure they must have some type of wireless keyboard connected.

If you could put this in you living room and have it also control your TV and audio system it would be pretty sweet!
